I am Levant is an online design concept store. Every product we carry has one thing in common: it is made in the Middle East.

I am Levant was born in Lebanon in 2022. My name is Shara. I am Kurdish by blood, born in England, and I have spent most of my life in Norway. After moving to Beirut, I found myself reconnected with my Middle Eastern roots in a way I never expected.
I was taken aback by the creativity, the boldness, and the sheer artistry I found here. The Lebanese push boundaries, they draw inspiration from Paris and Milan and then mix it with their own rich heritage, creating something entirely their own. Something the world hasn’t fully seen yet.
I wanted to change that.

I am Levant was built to be a bridge, between the Middle East and Europe. Between heritage and modernity. Between craftsmanship and everyday life.
We started with a carefully curated selection of handmade, personalized vegan handbags. Each one unique. Each one telling a story. Some of our bags can be personalized with embroidered initials in English or Arabic, or phrases that mean something to you.
The response was beyond anything we imagined. We were featured in Vogue UK. Our bags found their way into Illums Bolighus, one of Scandinavia’s most prestigious department stores. And a community of women who believed in what we were building began to grow.

Then the war came. And we paused.
But the dream never stopped. And now, in 2026, I am Levant is back, focused, refined, and more intentional than ever. Back to what started it all. The bags. The craft. The bridge.

We aim to be Europe’s gateway to the beauty of the Middle East.
